Earlier this August, the Green Wind Renewables team attended the Electrify Ag 2025 conference, a one-day event dedicated to accelerating zero-emission agriculture across Western Australia. The event bought together farmers, renewable energy developers, and innovators to exchange ideas and showcase the latest developments in sustainable farming and clean energy integration.
With presentations from PoweringWA, experiences from a Wheatbelt farmer around the development of wind farm on his land, and panel discussions around being a positive force for Indigenous economic development with the energy transition, the conference room was buzzing with energy around how WA regions have a key role to play in transition to net zero.
“The forum was a great opportunity to hear about updates in the clean energy economy and the changing climate”, said Jill O’Brien, Green Wind Renewables Community Relations Director.
The event offered insight into how agriculture and WA rural communities can embrace the opportunities of a clean energy economy, create legacy benefits from the roll out of renewables across the regions and explore the electrification of the agri-supply chains.
