Green Wind Renewables is proud to announce the launch of its Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), marking an important step in GWR’s commitment to building respectful and meaningful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Officially endorsed by Reconciliation Australia, the Reflect RAP provides a framework to strengthen cultural understanding and guide actions that contribute to reconciliation within the renewable energy sector and the communities where Green Wind Renewables operates.
“Our Reflect RAP is an opportunity to listen, learn and act in partnership with Traditional Owners and communities, ensuring that cultural heritage and respect are at the centre of how we operate and grow,” said Green Wind Renewables CEO, Daniel Thompson.
The Reflect RAP sets out practical actions to embed reconciliation principles across Green Wind Renewables operations – from staff education and cultural awareness training to engagement with Traditional Owner groups and identifying opportunities in procurement, employment, and education.
Green Wind Renewables worked closely with Reconciliation Australia throughout the development of the plan, which will guide the organisation over the next 18 months.
