Green Wind Renewables supports the 2026 Darkan Sheepfest

Green Wind Renewables was proud to support the 2026 Darkan Sheepfest in March, joining the local community in celebrating the region’s rich agricultural heritage and strong community spirit.

The event featured a range of traditional and family-friendly activities, including shearing and wool handling demonstrations, livestock displays, market stalls and community competitions. These highlights not only showcased the skills within the local sheep industry but also created opportunities for people of all ages to engage with agriculture in a hands-on way.

As a Grand Sponsor of this year’s event, the GWR team hosted a stall throughout the day, connecting with community members and sharing information about the Ambrosia Wind Farm project.

GWR’s involvement in the Darkan Sheepfest forms part of its broader commitment to supporting regional communities where it is developing renewable energy projects. By partnering with local events and initiatives, GWR aims to build long-term, positive relationships and contribute to vibrant and resilient communities.

With another successful year delivered, Darkan Sheepfest continues to be a highlight on the Shire of West Arthur calendar, reinforcing its importance as both a community celebration and an agricultural showcase.
