The bustling mining town of Kalgoorlie played host to the annual Diggers and Dealers Mining Forum from 5th – 7th August 2024, welcoming industry leaders from across the country. Among the delegates were Patrick Ragan and Antoine Le-Ray, representing Green Wind Renewables at the prominent event.
Diggers and Dealers is a mining investment forum, held annually in Kalgoorlie, WA. Now in its 33rd year, the forum is recognised as Australia’s leading mining forum and the most significant event of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere.
The forum combined 66 corporate presentations by listed mining and exploration companies with a large exhibition area housing over 159 exhibitors from the sector. It provided a unique opportunity for industry professionals to meet and network and engage with the resources sector at an executive level.
Since its inception in 1992, the conference has grown exponentially, with a delegation that once numbered 150 reaching a record 2,800 attendees for the recently held 2024 event.
Patrick Ragan and Antoine Le-Ray joined delegates in engaging with the latest trends and developments in the mining sector, where many industry participants have previously declared their intention to be carbon neutral by 2050. Their participation underscores the importance of collaboration and knowledge exchange in advancing Western Australian wind farm developments with increasing demand from the mining sector for clean energy.
