Yued Heritage Agreements Signed for Grevillea and Wandoo Wind Farms

Green Wind Renewables are proud to announce the signing of Heritage Agreements with the Yued Aboriginal Corporation for the Grevillea and Wandoo Wind Farm projects — a significant step in the respectful development of renewable energy infrastructure on Yued Country.

The Yued Heritage Protection Agreements (YHPA) establish the framework for cultural heritage to be recognised, respected and protected throughout the planning and delivery of both projects on Yued Boodja.

Rewi Lyall, CEO of Yued Aboriginal Corporation, welcomed the agreements, saying:

“Good corporate citizens want a good relationship with Yued but also know that charitable corporations like Yued Aboriginal Corporation are not resourced to engage in complex negotiations. Green Wind Renewables has taken the first step, a heritage protection agreement. We’re optimistic we can work with the company to establish an agreement that captures the potential of a relationship between Yued and the company.”

The Grevillea and Wandoo Wind Farms are being developed in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia through a partnership between Green Wind Renewables and Aula Energy. The signing of the heritage agreements is an early milestone in the development process, with further stages of agreement-making to follow.

“We’re honoured to be working in partnership with the Yued community,” said Daniel Thompson, Chief Executive Officer at Green Wind Renewables. “These agreements are the result of many months of open dialogue and reflect our shared values around cultural heritage, sustainability, and meaningful engagement.”

Green Wind Renewables and Aula Energy will continue to work closely with the Yued Aboriginal Corporation as the projects move into future phases, including broader agreement-making that reflects shared goals for heritage protection and long-term engagement
