Green Wind Renewables was pleased to be part of this year’s NAIDOC Week celebrations across the Wheatbelt, sponsoring regional community events in Calingiri, Bindoon, Badgingarra and Moora.
NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to recognise and celebrate the history, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This year’s theme, The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy, also celebrated 50 years of NAIDOC, reflecting on the achievements of the past while looking ahead to the next generation of First Nations leaders.
The community events brought people together to celebrate culture through storytelling, music, art, dance, food and family-friendly activities, showcasing the rich heritage of First Nations peoples.
Supporting local initiatives such as NAIDOC Week is one way we can contribute to community-led events that celebrate culture, strengthen connections and create opportunities for people to come together.
We acknowledge and thank the Yued Aboriginal Corporation for its leadership in delivering this year’s celebrations, along with the many volunteers, performers and community members who helped make the events such a success.
